Hear Riddler
Hear Riddler is a two-hour song quiz show stage production with live streaming. The production, including programming software, quiz buzzer programming, lighting design, sound tech, camera work, and management, was entirely handled and led by a group of students from Design for Performance and Interaction.
Hear Riddler challenged audiences with 10 music categories, including 20 songs that required challengers to guess both the song name and singer/songwriter to earn points. Each song had three scoring sections, where challengers earned more points for guessing correctly in the earlier phase of the song.
While the stage production covered all technical aspects, the design details were carefully curated throughout the show. The coloured lighting corresponded to the music categories, with distinct lights indicating right and wrong answers. The trophy design featured detachable headphones made of acrylic materials. Audience engagement was incorporated throughout the show, as challengers could call for help during each round when they couldn't answer a question.
